SENIOR RISK AND FRAUD PREVENTION OFFICER (SL8)
CENTRAL OFFICE
REF NO: EHL 32/ 2025
SALARY: R397 116.00 – R467 790.00 plus benefits
Requirements:
Minimum of a three (3) year National Diploma or equivalent in Internal Auditing or Risk Management. A minimum of one (1) years appropriate experience. Understanding of Public Sector Risk Management Framework. Understanding of COSO Framework. Understanding Ethics. Quality Assurance. A valid driver’s license. Management and leadership skill; Strategic thinking; Analytical and decision making. Effective problem solving skill. Prioritisation and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication skill (verbal and written). Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Report writing skill; Facilitation skill; People Management skill; Presentation skill; Planning and Organizing skill. Good computer skill. Technical knowledge in the application of Risk Management concepts and principles. Knowledge and understanding of the concepts of control and corporate governance. Leadership skills, Conflict Management and Problem Solving Skills. Applied Strategic Thinking. Proven Project Management and Facilitation.
Key performance areas:
Provide Risk Management (RM) services, fraud prevention, Quality Assurance, Compliance with POPIA & Ethics and Integrity management services. Develop and coordinate implementation of Risk Governance documents or enabling documents. Support and monitor the College compliance with risk management framework (Policy, Norms and Standards). Champions and Advocate for Risk Management. Ensures consistency and uniformity of RM in the Institution. Assist Audit Committee, Risk Committee and Senior Management to establish and communicate Institution’s risk management objectives & objection. Co-ordinate and facilitate risk assessment for the college (both strategic & operational) assessment. Assist Management with integrating risk management with strategy development process. Provide guidance on development of risk mitigation strategies for the institution’s critical risks and of monitoring these risks. Ensure effective alignment between Risk Management processes and Internal Audit. Ensure effective alignment between Risk Management processes and planning processes. Promote RM within the institution by undertaking initiatives aimed at creating and enhancing RM awareness/ culture. Conduct RM education and training from time-to-time. Assist in drafting & rolling out Fraud Prevention Plan, Policy and Strategy. Establish, communicate & facilitate the use of appropriate RM methodologies, tools and techniques. Maintains Institution’s risk register. Serves as Secretariat to Risk Management Committee Meetings. Analyse, monitor and report on various aspects of RM (e.g. status and progress). Assists the Accounting Officer, the Risk Management Committee, College Senior Management and other officials by providing expert guidance and support on RM.
TRANSPORT OFFICER
CENTRAL OFFICE

SALARY: R325 101.00 – R382959.00 p.a (SL7)
Requirements:
Recognized National Diploma in Transport Management / Logistics/ Public Management (NQF level 6) or equivalent qualification. 2-3 years’ experience in fleet management / transport / logistics services or relevant experience. Knowledge of Treasury and PFMA Regulations. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and services procedures. Knowledge of fleet disposal procedure. Knowledge and understating of legislative framework governing the Public Services.
Knowledge of Department of Higher Education mandate. Knowledge of traffic law Monitoring and evaluation. Must have a valid driver’s license (with valid PDP).
Key performance areas:
Ensure that college vehicles are kept in good working condition. Conduct monthly inspections of vehicles at all campuses to identify any non-compliant matters. Ensure that logbooks are always up to date. Ensure licensing and registration of college vehicles. Ensure that all college vehicles are insured with the insurance brokers. Ensure the fitment of tracking devices to all college vehicles. Ensure that petrol cards are renewed timeously. Ensure that transportation policies are adhere to. Ensure proper recording of petrol cards upon issuing. Transporting staff and students as and when required. Ensure proper record keeping of petrol slips. Assist with monthly assets verification and update of asset control sheets. Assist with updating of asset register in line GRAP17.

SALARY R632 205.00 PA. PLUS BENEFITS
REQUIREMENTS:
An appropriate degree/National Diploma or equivalent qualification plus a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in teaching and supervision/ management within the Post-School Education and Training Sector. Willingness to work irregular hours. Advanced oral and written communication skills and ability to work with different levels of staff, students and external stakeholders. Advanced computer skills (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook). A valid driver’s license. An understanding of DHET’s strategic vision and priorities for the TVET College sector. Good knowledge of legislation, policies and strategies governing the TVET College sector. Ability to work under pressure. Leadership and strategic thinking skills. Good analytical skills and the ability to liaise at highest level. Managerial, supervisory, problem solving, motivational, negotiation and good interpersonal skills. Project and Resource Management skills. A valid drivers’ license.
DUTIES:
The scope of the Campus Manager’s work will include but not be limited to:
Reports to the Principal on general governance and management issues, to the Deputy Principal Academic Programmes and Student Support Services on Academic Programmes and Student Affairs and to the DeputyPrincipal Corporate Serviceson HR, IT, Administration and Communication and to the Chief Financial Officer on Finances and Supply Chain Management. Implement and monitor policy. Initiate new innovations that are congruent with the Strategic Plan of the College and the TVET College Sector. Ensure quality assurance of learning delivery. Promote a culture of teaching and learning and ensure that all activities are in line with relevant legislation, College policies and the College strategic plan. Guide, supervise and offer professional advice to all staff members. Oversee and monitor staff capacity building activities in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager. Maintain staff and students discipline. Ensure an equitable workload distribution for staff members. Ensure proper utilisation, maintenance and security of resources, facilities and grounds. Oversee and monitor all examinations and assessment activities. Responsible for the smooth running of the Campus in general, as well as ensuring that all requests from the Central Office and the Department of Higher Education and Training are adhered to within the stipulated time frames. Oversee and monitor all administrative and financial activities.
