The Campus is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Mpumalanga Province adjoining the world-renowned Kruger National Park and Drakensberg mountains. The economy of this area centres around agriculture, forestry and tourism. The Campus is therefore strategically situated to provide much needed education and training support for these major industries. The Campus is 134km from the Central Office of the College in Nelspruit.
Formerly Mapulaneng Technical College, Mapulaneng Campus is located in Acornhoek in the Bushbuckridge Municipality.
It was officially opened in 1987 as a technical institute offering block-release courses in the Engineering trades from N1-N6 and these fields included: Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. It later offered courses at introductory level in Business Studies from N4- N6 as well as Hospitality services.
Mapulaneng Campus was initially merged with four other campuses to form Mopani South East TVET College in the Limpopo Province. It became part of Ehlanzeni TVET College after Bohlabela (Bushbuckridge) region was incorporated into the Mpumalanga Province.
