Barberton is a town which has its origin in the 1880s gold rush in the region. It is situated in the De Kaap Valley and is fringed by the Makhonjwa Mountains.
It is 43 kilometers south of Mbombela (Nelspruit) where the Central Office of the College is located.
Barberton Campus was established in 2007. The Campus started with the NC(V) Level 2 Generic Management programme with only nine students who graduated in 2009! Today the Campus has over 1500 full-time and part-time students and a total of five courses both in the Engineering and Business studies sections.

It is imperative for a Campus to be an environment that is conducive for imparting knowledge and skilling the youth for employment, that can only be possible through team work.
Ms Khoza has been an educator by profession since 1993. For 15 years she worked as an Educator, Education Specialist in Economic Sciences and a Deputy Principal at Suikerland High School. She joined ETVETC in 2007 as a Senior Education Specialist: Business Studies at Nelspruit Campus. Since joining the ETVETC, Nelspruit Campus has continued to be one of the best performing Campuses at the College. Due to her vast knowledge in TVET curriculum management, she was appointed as a Campus Academic Programme Coordinator in 2018 and subsequently Barberton Acting Campus Manager in 2020.
